Nelda Mora

Nelida still resides in her hometown of Placentia. In high school, she worked for DBS Bookkeeping in Old Town Placentia where she learned to handle the books and payroll for some Placentia greats such as Tlaquepaque, El Farolito, Castner's Automotive, Q-Tortas, Placentia Glass & Screen, just to name a few. Mike and Alvina Serna, the owners of DBS also taught her to complete income tax returns and at the age of 18 would on her own time give complimentary tax preparation services to those in need in Placentia. In 1980 Nelida would be the very first Miss Placentia candidate to be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Placentia.
